It’s time to ramp-up for “Trunk-n-Treat.” On Halloween, we turn our property into a candy give-away safety zone for neighborhood kids to come. We park our cars (this year, we’re back to the front yard, weather permitting), giving out candy from our trunks. The point is to both serve the community kids and to introduce ourselves to parents as they walk across our property.
So we need everyone to pull together to make this a success. So how can you help? Well, I’m glad you asked.
- Candy: We will need copious amounts of Halloween candy. We never have enough candy. We’ll have the bin, so bring it in.
- Cars: We really need you to come with your candy. The point is to have our church folk make contact with our community; we can’t off-load that to others. We need you to be here.
- Costume: We’d like you to get in the festive mood. There will be a prize for the best costume (including best decorated car).
Things start at 5:30 on October 31 with set up. Get here then and we’ll feed you soup. Get here late… no soup for you! Trick or treating is from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
